"The Hole" [ http://Hole-TheMovie.com ], directed by Wash West, is a gay porn adaptation of the mainstream psycho-horror movie "The Ring" [ http://Ring-TheMovie.com ]. A porn film, based on a horror flick? In the hands of a less madcap meshuggener this would have certainly been a disaster. But Mr. West knows how to put an outlandish theme, witty dialogue, beautiful performers and outstanding sex together better than just about anyone. And, then, who couldn't make something special with this hoard of hunks. From top to bottom, all of these guys are pretty sensational. The thesis: "Before you're gay ... you see the hole." And what exactly does THAT mean -- Anita Bryant flashing her twat? Nope. You see, there's a videotape that's floating around, and if viewed (it's a collage of bizarre images), you turn into a "friend of Dorothy's" in seven days after you get a mysterious phone call. It's a hoot, actually, and the "all-American jocks" it afflicts makes it even funnier.
The gay-in-seven-days theory is diligently explained in the first scene with Derec Lang and Josh Hammer. Josh is exceptionally cute with pretty red lips (and a tongue piercing) and an aw-shucks manner that is just too sexy for words (not to mention a nice pierced cock). Derec is a big, musclebound linebacker type with a big pink cock (as well as tongue and eyebrow piercings). After they discuss the urban legend that is the "gay tape," they suddenly find that they, too, have fallen prey to its charms. Before you know it, they are kissing and groping each other's muscles. This, of course, is after Josh fails to get aroused by watching hetero porn ("Cheerleader Challenge" of all things). So Derec pulls out his big pink dick and Josh gulps it down without as much as a hiccup. Derec then drops to his knees to return the favor, deep-throating Josh's thick piece with skill before fucking the shit out of Josh on the dining room table (the tablecloth being twisted every which way as Derec hammers into his bud -- standing doggy and missionary). Both yank out big gobs of spunk in the end. Notwithstanding, Derec insists that he's "straight," but his girlfriend is out of town. (Whatever you say, Derec.)
Josh then tells a reporter from the San Bernardino Examiner, Tag Eriksson, about his weird experience. Tag is a gorgeous Swede with a sexy accent ("A Fish Called Wanda," anyone?) with a big Swedish sausage in his long-legged jeans. Tag then embarks on a journey to find the tape and to determine if there is any truth to what Josh is saying about "turning gay" and such (at this point there is a solo interlude where gorgeous bodybuilder and Duck Inn clerk Vince Taylor jerks himself off in one of the cabins). Because the cabin where Josh believes it all started is at the Duck Inn, Tag goes there and is greeted by pretty boy Vince (the masturbating clerk). Vince tells him what room Josh and his buddies stayed in, Tag inspects the room, and watches the tape. Just as he's about to leave, the phone rings. The caller says that Tag will "turn gay is seven days" and hangs up. The plot thickens. Next, Tag goes to Jason Adonis' place for more research. (Jason was with Josh and Sam Tyson the previous week at the Duck Inn.) Jason is, as his name would suggest, a fantasy come to life, with a beautiful face, perfect body and choke-'em-good cock. Tag interviews Jason about the weekend at the Duck Inn with his buddies. In flashback: Jason, despite his protestations about being a "pussy hound," falls into the hole. Sam's hole, that is, after they can no longer resist their gay urges after receiving the mysterious "you are gay" phone call (seven days after seeing the tape, of course). They learn how much fun it is to be gay! Sam sucks the stuffing out of Jason's dick and asshole, and then Jason fucks Sam every which way but loose -- doggy, lap, missionary -- you name it. Big loads from both and declarations of everlasting love follow.
Tag, trying to fight becoming gay after having viewed the tape, tries to masturbate to a girlie magazine. But instead of focusing on the girl, T.J. Hart, in the photo layout, he fantasizes about the guy, Adam Killian. They actually come into the scene (by way of his imagination), and Adam caresses and kisses him as Tag jerks his long dick off. It's clear that Tag is losing the battle.
Based on one of the images on the tape, Tag goes to New Mexico with Josh to visit a building that appears to be a major clue. But instead of finding any answers, they find that the building is nothing more than a big orgy house. Tag and Josh watch through the window as Anthony Holloway and Jeremy Tucker trade sloppy kisses (Jeremy's body also appears on the tape). Then Jeremy blows and rims Anthony before they join a gang of men in a big room to fuck the hell out of blond cutie Trent Atkins. Jeremy and Anthony take turns fucking the living daylights out of Trent as Michael Knight, Damon Ivy, Kip Bravo, Rex Everything and Lorenzo Vargas stand nearby and kiss and grope each other (the other men, except Jeremy, Anthony and Trent, wear decorative masks). Jeremy cums, Anthony fucks the cum out of Trent, Anthony pops his load, and then several of the others douse Trent's sweaty torso with cum from above.
The final scene finds Tag and Josh making love, but still no wiser with regard to the origin of the tape or how to reverse its effects. Not to worry, they trade blows (Tag sucks a mean dick), before Josh gets fucked in a variety of positions by Tag. They end in an embrace, and then the phone rings ...
"The Hole" is pulled off flawlessly by Wash & Co. The concept and dialogue get major kudos for cleverness, but the performers and the sex are why this is easily my favorite Wash West effort to date.
Tag, Josh, Jason, Sam, Vince and Derec are irresistible. And as gay as can be.
