This is the story of Jérôme (Christopher Dock), whose lover Paul flew to New York on June 20, 1977 for a weeklong vacation, then sent a letter saying that he would never return to Paris. On December 5, 1977, Jérôme flies to New York to find Paul and is picked up at the airport by a taxi driver named Rex (John Houston), who gives him an orientation on gay life in New York on the way into the city.
