Performed for almost 100 videos - most of them straight under the name Rick Cassidy and has produced and edited also.
His inspiration for body building came at the skinny age of 14 when he saw Steve Reeves in Goliath and the Barbarians. His passion for acting came from Marlon Brando.
The first porn he did was modeling for Colt and quickly became popular. After moving to California, Pat Rocco asked him to take part in the 1970 Groovy Guy contest in which he only placed third.
Rocco helped choose his stage name and Cassidy (borrowed from Butch Cassidy) did his first male nude film for Pat with Brian Reynolds. It was shot as a screen test for the benefit of Time magazine who wanted to see a male nude production. This film is not known to have been released to the public although it seems to have been shown on TV.
Cassidy did a number of things through Rocko's S.P.R.E.E. including performing in the stage play Casting Couch.
Barry Knight said he had to be coached to speak loudly enough and that certain angles didn't photograph well "because of his nose." Cassidy claimed that he would only do gay work for $125 to $150 and when offered less would refuse but he always enjoyed his work, never regretted it, didn't have much trouble getting hard and sometimes was the stunt dick.
Cassidy claimed Dakota as an old friend whose gym he worked out in and this was how Dakota got the part in Drilled Deep.
Cassidy was indicted in March 1974 for conspiracy to distribute obscene materials interstate but was acquitted in July.
At the beginning of 1974 he started writing a column on body development called The In Touch Body for In Touch magazine. His authorship of the column ended in November of that year.
Cassidy appeared in the theater production Tubstrip along with Casey Donovan at the Holllywood Center Theatre.
After leaving the skin industry, he got into realestate.
