notes |
In 1964 Brian published one of the first if not the first fully nude pictures sold in porn shops dropping the modest posing straps used to keep dicks out of sight. The first gay porn film director to use live sound. Ran an escort service that was closed down by police. He had hounded Jim Cassidy to do some hustling for $100 but Jim got there a day late and Brian wouldn't talk to him ever again. Cassidy also said he had a huge ego, would get drunk on the set and generally screw things up. Cassidy also said he made 4 loops for Brian in one day starting at 8:00am and ending 6:00am the next day. Only one is known but the others may have been straight. Samuel Steward (aka Phil Andros) worked with J. Brian on a number of films and didn't get paid for his work on Four More Than Money. For payback Steward wrote a novel titled Blow for Blow where Phil Andros is a stand in for J. Brian. They still worked together after that. |
