An art prodigy from five years old. He studied art in Kansas City and Florence, Italy. Filmmaker Derek Jarman prodded him into pursuing film.
Braverman's tastes ran toward the provocative which gave the L.A. police reason to raid his studio in 1995.
He is buried in Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens in Littleton, Colorado.
