Chi Chi LaRue was about the first drag queen to break into gay porn. He did it largely by force of will, hounding producers until he got his chance to direct. Now he is the premier name among directors if only for the volume of work he has created and the number of awards he has been given. In a Manshots interview Chet Thomas said that when LaRue approached Catalina about directing they declined because he didn't have enough experience and they wanted him to loose 100 pounds. |
