In preparing for his first directed movie, Twin Exposure, he started a rumor that he had a twin. People kept asking if they could use his twin in movies.

The first of his Sex series, Pure Sex, was without story. The second, A Score of Sex, was based on the sex of his friend, Sharon Kane. The original distributor for Pure Sex tried to cut their offering by $5k but Rey managed to move it to Bacchus Releasing and stayed with them.

Rey was very entrepreneurial getting involved in many projects like developing dildoes, dancing tours and movie production.
