In his second feature length film, Pat Rocco traveled to Rio de Janeiro for a setting of mirth and merry-making at Carnival time. The story line concerns itself with sixteen year old Marco Antonio and his friends Francisco and Bruno. Marco takes us on his own personal tour of Rio: the carnival, the beach, his friends, etc., as well as a secluded look into his bedroom activities. There's a wild montage sequence of Marco and Bruno, a three-way bedroom scene that would turn on the most jaded individual, and a love scene with Charley that is seduction at its best. All in all, this movie presents a colorful and personal look into the affairs of the free-living boys of Rio.
This is a cut version of Pat Rocco's feature length film shot entirely in Brazil. It includes some of the more daring "bedroom scenes" between Marco, his lover and his friends ... that must be seen to be fully appreciated.
"The nude scenes are beautifully photographed, tastefully presented, and down-right fun to watch. These are played with great flourish by Marco Antonio and his friends including a surprisingly handsome by, Bruno Gillho."

"Marco of Rio" is the second feature by 16mm filmmaker Pat Rocco, and the first homosexual travelogue. It confirms the earlier promise of a film artist whose work transcends the limited demands of its prescribed exploitation market."

". . . A unique travelogue . . . photographed from refreshing new angles. Judging from "Marco of Rio," Brazil is populated exclusively by sixteen-year-old slim, deeply tanned males wearing tentatively and temporarily soul-revealing mini-bikinis."

Los Angeles ADVOCATE
"Fully professional travelogue is all the more exciting for gay audiences because Pat Rocco knows so well where to point his camera. Except for that superb Brazilian film "Black Orpheus, we haven't seen a more dazzling, more enticing view of the carnival."
