The film tells the story of a young convict thrown in the special isolation cell with a bunch of hardened cons. They reject his overtures for friendship, and when the prison guard brings their meager allotment of bread, they try to take Terry's away from him. He refuses so the hold "Kangaroo Court" and decide on certain punishments he must undergo. They gang up and take turns swatting him, make him do push ups etc. When they get too rough Terry rebels and fights the whole group, winning the battle.
