Similar in style to DeSimone’s later film, Erotikus, this one is intended to be an overview of the S&M scene. Broken up into three segments. The first segment features clips from S&M-themed films, including The Collection, Boys in Chains, Bruised Angel, and Boys of Barabbas and “illustrate how S&M was first seen on the screen…and show some of the equipment and toys, their function, and then their actual use.” The second segment is “the re-creation of an actual S&M ritual, with one master (Hangin’ Tree Ranch owner Jack Jackson) and one slave. [It is] a clinical, almost sterile, look at the relationship between a masochist and his master. We are shown the initial physical preparations, some of the leather appliances to be used, and above all, the psychological rapport that has to exist between the partners—trust on the part of the slave, and knowledge of the slave’s tolerance by the master. As it was, the demonstration had to be halted when the slave almost hung himself in a horse harness, and again later when he passed out from use of a 15-inch dildo.” The third segment stars Bill Harrison and two others engaged in “most of the sadistic techniques that non-practicing gays associate with S&M, not necessarily those in use.” [At the time of filming, Harrison was not well known and was just another pretty penis, so his participation was not emphasized over the others in the scene.]

In Skinflicks: The Inside Story of the X-Rated Video Industry David Jennings talks about this film being shot "up and down the state of California, ending up at a ranch near San Diego that was an S and M retreat." One of the U.S. Marines involved was tied up for the master's beating when he stopped breathing because the bindings were choking him. The master used mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to bring him back to life. The Marine said it was "the most beautiful experience of his life." The experience was too much for the production crew who all quit.
