The Bouncer is an impressively clean-looking and well-produced effort that sizzles only fitfully but includes a handful of scenes that are sure to pump you up and get you off.
The Bouncer tells the story of one particularly sex-filled but fateful day in the life of a bisexual doorman-cum-steroid pusher played by hulking bodybuilder Jake Gianelli. Despite the presence of girlfriend Sara Diaz in his bed that morning, it soon becomes clear that Gianelli is trying to keep both his business and his true sexuality on the down low.
Once Diaz leaves for the day, he pulls out a tape from underneath the bed and settles in to watch uncut and grizzled Gage Blake jerk off on a rocky landscape. I also found it curious for Blake to present steroid dealing as a dirty business when several of his bulky models possess physiques that look suspiciously enhanced. DVD extras are few, but the behind-the-scenes segment is fun to watch if you're interested in the work behind the magic.
This video is a must-see for anyone with a particular penchant for bodybuilders, like Jake Gianelli, who appear chiseled from granite more than flesh. I would also recommend to anyone the locker room sequence between Hawke and Gianelli as well as the controversial scene of Slade eating Valentino's load. I also look forward to more performances in the future from dark-haired cutie Ben Campezi.
