Catalina / Channel 1 Releasing As with many other Catalina titles the Channel 1 website contradicts itself. The stated duration and the lack of credit for Lee Mann indicates this version is the same as the original feature film released on DVD in 2004 but this is contradicted in the description where it's stated that "an additional hard-core scene with Tony Stefano (Marconi)" is included (i.e. the same as the 20th Anniversary Extended Edition released in 2007). Besides that it's unclear if this is a full remaster or just repackaged and re-authored with the same digital master as used for one of the earlier DVD releases. |

Catalina Direct / MyQuest Titled as "The Pizza Boy, He Delivers - 20th Anniversary Collectors Edition" on the cover, this is another ''remastered'' victim with the original movie completely recut by Josh Eliot of Catalina. Instead of leaving the original feature film intact and adding optional bonus scenes to the menu of the DVD, he inserted "new" footage in the original movie lifted from another Catalina release and completely changed the original scene sequence. Although the picture quality of this "remastered'" version is not bad, it's somewhat darker and off color compared to the original Catalina DVD release. The soundtrack for the added scene from Delivery Boys is in stereo, while during the rest of the movie it's in mono. Changes / Additional footage: New beginning with the credits completely redone. Besides for the director, the performers and a new credit for Lee Mann, all other original credits are deleted. |
